Do I need to have a Practice?
I would strongly recommend a practice as it gives us time to perfect your look and means you have peace of mind for your wedding day. The morning of your wedding will also run more smoothly as I am familiar with your skin and hair type in advance.
Practices are usually, but not exclusively just the Bride. It can often be difficult to co-ordinate a practice with all the bridesmaids and mums, not to mention more pricey, but it is your wedding so I am happy to work whichever way you want.
Where will the practice be held?
I am happy for you to come to me in Orpington as I am just 5 minutes from junction 3 of the M25 and have a lovely well lit dressing room or I can travel to you, so it's not unusual for the practice to be held at the brides home. Practices are carried out in daylight hours Monday - Friday.
What do I need to do to prepare for the Practice?
In the run up to the practice I ask you to collect and forward me images of the makeup and hair looks you like to give me an idea of the styles required. I also have lots of my own images for inspiration so don't worry too much if you can't find anything.
I carry a selection of gorgeous accessories, headpieces, tiaras, hair vines, pins etc... (and a veil) so we can try them out with your chosen style and see what suits best, and if you really like them they are also available to order from me (4 week order time). If you already have your own then do have them with you.
Please have your hair clean and dry for the trial, ideally washed the night before. Please resist the urge to use serums or straighteners before the trial as this can make it difficult for your hair to hold styles.
